A Perfect Morning Routine

Ideally, we awaken with the sun.  We are nature and in rhythm with the circadian cycles of day and night.  Create a new habit of going to bed before 10 pm and waking before 6 am.

When you get up, use the bathroom (pee).  Situate yourself for meditation; recommended out of bed (this is called ‘bed-itating’) so that we don’t go back to sleep.

Meditate for at least 20 minutes, and up to 60 minutes (the longer the better) to dive deeper into our essence, which is the infinite field, or pure potential (consciousness).

After meditation, move your body for a few stretches (see the Video ‘Yoga Poses for Well-BEing’).  This takes 5-10 minutes, tops, and is ideal to do daily.

Journal a little, what can you release?  Get anything that’s not serving you out of your head and onto the paper.  Or, read something educational to ‘sharpen the saw’!

Oil pull for up to 10 minutes then brush your teeth and scrape your tongue.  The health of our mouth is relative to the health of our body.  Take great care of it!

Before a shower or bath, dry brush the skin to release dead skin cells and prepare the body for a warm oil massage.  Allow a couple of minutes for the oil to penetrate into the skin before showering or bathing.

Notice:  we haven’t even looked at our phone!  Devoting the first hour-90 minutes to our Selves sets the tone and allows us to be present.

Begin the workday refreshed and awake!  (But first, COFFEE, of course). 😉

EnJOY the day!
