The Law Of Least Effort

Of all of Deepak Chopra’s Seven Spiritual Laws of Success, The Law of Least Effort is my favorite for several reasons.

  • We get to give up the word ‘try’ from our vocabulary. What does ‘try’ even mean, actually? Yoda said, “Do or Do Not, there is no try.” Agreed! Why? Because nature operates with effortless ease, and we ARE nature! Fish don’t try to swim, they swim. Flowers don’t try to bloom, they just bloom. It is their intrinsic nature to do so. And, it is our intrinsic nature to have our dreams manifest. So, how do we do that with LEAST EFFORT?!
  • We get to do LESS and accomplish MORE. Yes, you read that right. It’s not how we’re taught, though, but when we slow waaaaaaaayyyyyyyy down, we are more efficient, clear-headed, and in the flow of life. Humans are not designed to multi-task, we’ve just adapted to doing 10 things at a time, and it’s not good for us. Single-task focus is the new black! We are human BEings, not human DOings, after all.
  • The Law of Least Effort is accepting everything in life as it IS, (including ourselves!) When we give up our resistance to how things are, we save oodles of energy. The result is more happiness, vitality, and a zest for life.

If any of this resonates, please share! Or, I’d love to know which of the 7 Spiritual Laws is your fave and why? To live all of the laws all of the time is a life-long practice and I’m here to support you in leading your dream life, effortlessly.
